Passive Voice

  • simple present tense 
 Active : 
- Sinta combs the plants
- Nadya writes the books

 Passive :
- The plants is combed by Sinta
- The books is written by Nadya

  • present continuous tense
Active :
- My mother is writing a novel
- Lusi is visiting the temple

Passive :
- A novel is being written by my mother
- The temple is being visited by Lusi

  • present perfect tense 
Active :
- She has come to my house
- We have hurt the cats

Passive : 
- My house has been come by her
- The cats has been hurt by us

  • present perfect continuous tense
Active :
- My boyfriend has been forgetting me
- Luna has been winning the competition

Passive :
- I have been being forgotten by my boyfriend
- The competition has been being won by Luna

  • simple past tense
Active : 
- My father bought the car
- The prince rode the horse

Passive :
- The car was bought by my father
- The horse was ridden by the prince

  • past continuous tense
Active :
- They were talking the problem 
- Sheila was coming to my home

Passive :
- The problem was being talked by them
- My home was being come by Sheila

  • past perfect tense
Active :
- The dog had bitten them
- Yoga had shot me

Passive :
- They had been bitten by the dog
- I had been shot by Yoga

  • past perfect continuous tense
Active : 
- I had been drawing a picture
- Dwi had been dancing a jaipong dance

Passive :
- A picture had been being drawn by me
- A jaipong dance had been being danced by Dwi


  • present future tense
Active :
- Luna will come to my house
- Andi will help a victim

Passive :
- My house will be come by Luna
- A victim will be helped by Andi

  • future continuous tense
Active :
- She will be helping Ana
- Nabila will be feeding the monkeys

Passive :
- Ana will be being helped by her
- The monkeys will be being fed by Nabila

  • present future perfect tense
Active : 
- The doctor will have healed me
- Susi will have sold the clothes

Passive :
- I will have been healed by the doctor

Active :
